Please find our long-term plan and termly curriculum overviews below. 

Homework:Your child will receive a piece of Maths or English homework each week in their CGP booklets (set on a Friday). Details of the weekly homework will be written in your child’s reading record. Homework should be returned to school by the following THURSDAY so that we can mark it. Please support and encourage your child to do their homework as independently as they can.

Reading: Please encourage your child to read for at least 10 minutes EVERY NIGHT at home. Please record this in your child’s reading record. In our class we understand that it is important to have a ‘love for reading’. Therefore, if your child is not enjoying their book, please do let us know and they are more than welcome to change their book.

Multiplication; In Year 4 your child will be required to complete a multiplication test in June. Developing and practising timetable fluency each night using TT Rock Stars is the best way in which you can support your child. Please encourage this each day.

PE Days: We have PE on a Wednesday afternoon in the school hall. Please remember no earrings, watches or Fitbits are allowed and long hair needs to be tied up. 

Snacks: Your child can bring a healthy snack to school to eat at break-time – please send in fruit or vegetables. No crisps or sweets, thank you.
