Child Missing in education (CME)

We're committed to ensuring every child and young person  has the opportunity to grow up in a safe community.

Our vision is one where the services are excellent. This will be characterised by safer, resilient communities where there are high levels of progress and attainment for all children including vulnerable groups, raised standards for gifted and talented children, low numbers of children in care, low numbers of teenage parents, low numbers of young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and high satisfaction rates for children, young people and their families.

We are concerned about any child missing education not only in the way that it impacts on the individual’s potential achievement but also in relation to their safety and welfare.

we have adopted the Derbyshire Policy for Children Missing in Education.
