Design and technology
Design and Technology offers opportunities for children to develop their ability to create high quality
products through combining their designing and making skills with knowledge and understanding. It aims to nurture creativity and innovation whilst exploring values and attitudes relating to the man-made elements of the world and how we live and work within it. Through Design and Technology, children develop an understanding of technological processes, products and their manufacture as well as their contribution to our society.

We have carefully planned the development of knowledge, skills and vocabulary across our curriculum. This can be viewed below. Examples of children using their skills can be seen when the children in Year 2 made castles using a range of materials and equipment.
